"Pocket piece"?  The pieces are labeled Exterior, Mouth and Cheeks. Am I missing a pattern piece or are the mouth and cheeks together forming the pocket piece or inside, and if so...why break it down into 2 pieces?    Is there a front, back AND pocket piece meaning there would be actually 3 layers PLUS the inserted filter?

I've been sewing a long time, but.....I've gotta be missing something!

iThinkSew on 7/16/2020 11:46:55 PM Hi Laura, this pattern has outer pieces, inner pieces, and pocket pieces. The pocket piece is for inserting a filter as you can see in the video. This mask has three layers, outer, inner, and pocket except filter. I hope this helps.

I've downloaded the pattern, and the second page of templates to cut out shows a second shape labelled "Jean mask with filter pocket" that apparently I'm supposed to cut one of. I can't work out from the instructions what I'm supposed to do with it?

Not understanding the part below "Cut out the Fabric".   …. Cut out the exterior, lining and interfacing. Fuse the interfacing on the wrong side of the lining, following the manufacturer's guide.

The video didn't show anything regarding the cutting or fusing of the interfacing. Is that a necessary step?

Also, what type of material is best to use for the filter?

Thank you.

Jane Williams on 5/18/2020 12:52:13 PM What are we supposed to do with the part labelled "Jean mask with filter pocket" that apparently I'm supposed to cut one of? I can't see it referenced in the instructions.

iThinkSew Support on 4/21/2020 4:58:43 PM For this instruction and pattern, you need two inner pieces (1 and 1 Reversed) which are the lining pieces. Also, you need two pocket pieces (1 and 1 reversed) and two outer pieces (1 and 1 reversed).

Do you have the directions written out? I find it hard to see which way the fabric is facing on the pink and white fabrics
